National Cadet Corps was started in this college in 1962. At present total 160 girl cadets have been enrolled in two units.
Our students regularly represent the college in the Republic day parade at New Delhi on 26 January every year. Besides the regular activities, the cadets are involved in social programs like pulse polio, blood donation, eye donation, literacy, SSB Training Programme, tree plantation, environment protection, etc.
The cadets of this college have been selected for the Indian army and are serving the nation.
The college has two units of the National Service Scheme. The students enrolled in NSS have to attend a minimum of 120 service hours during the year. In all, 199 students are enrolled in this scheme.

As a brilliant example of earning while learning, NSS students run a canteen in the college campus. The earnings of this canteen are utilized in helping the poor students.
